Search everything and keyboard shortcuts
One search box finds any customer, supplier, bill, item or screen. Single keys open the forms you use most. Together they make the App as fast as desktop accounting software.
Step by step
- Open the search box. Press Ctrl + K (on a Mac Cmd + K), or /, or click Search or jump to… at the top.
- Type a few letters. A name, a bill number, an item or what you want to do, like "expense" or "trial balance".
- Pick a result. Use ↑ ↓ and Enter, or click. A customer opens their ledger; a bill opens in its maker; a screen opens directly. Esc closes the box.
Worked example
A customer calls about bill INV/26-27/S02. Press Ctrl + K, type "S02", press Enter: the invoice opens. They say they paid ₹3,000 by UPI: press Esc, then R, and record it.
Keys in the App
When you are not typing in a box and no window is open:

The App also reopens the last screen you used. The full list is under Keyboard shortcuts in the status bar at the bottom.
Common mistakes and how to fix them
- A key types a letter instead of opening a form. The cursor is in a text box. Click an empty part of the screen or press Esc first.
- Ctrl K opens the browser's search. Click once on the App page first so it has the keyboard.
