Additional features: switch screens on or off

In the installed App, Settings › Additional features has a switch for each feature, grouped by work. Use it when your business grows (say you start manufacturing) or to keep a clean menu.

Step by step

1. Open the switches. In the installed App open Settings › Additional features.
2. Check the business. The page says Switch features on or off for … with your business name and Type of business:. Each business has its own switches.
3. Switch features on or off. Groups: Sales and purchases, Cash, bank and cheques, Stock, Manufacturing, Accounts and reports, GST and tax, Industry tools, Staff and salesmen. Recommended ones are marked. Changes are saved at once (Saved).
4. Use the shortcuts if needed. Switch everything on shows every screen. Back to recommended returns to the set for your type of business. Change business details goes back to the setup.

Worked example

A shop starts packing its own spice mix. Under Manufacturing switch on Production. The Production screen appears in the menu and in the search box; the shop records each batch from now on. Stock reports already include the new items.

Always on

Dashboard, Sales, Money in and out, Dues and Parties are always shown; they are the heart of the App.

What "off" does and does not do

• Off hides the screen from the menu, the tab bar, the quick-add buttons, the side menu, the New document list and the search box.
• Off never deletes a record and never changes the accounts: an expense entered while purchases were off still counts in profit.
• A direct link to a hidden screen still opens it.

Common mistakes and how to fix them

• A screen is "missing" from the menu. It is switched off for this business. Open Additional features and switch it on, or press Switch everything on.
• Changed the switches for the wrong business. Switches are per business. Choose the right business in the App first.
