How to install the Nivesh Sahayak App
Installing puts the App in its own window with its own icon, like a program from a shop. It is the same App and the same data as in the browser: nothing extra is downloaded except the App's own files.
Step by step
- Open app.niveshsahayak.in in Chrome or Edge. On a computer (Windows, Mac, Linux) or an Android phone.
- Press Install app. The button is at the top of the page (on a phone it may be in the menu). It appears only when the browser allows installing. You can also use the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or the browser menu › Install Nivesh Sahayak App (Chrome) / Apps › Install this site as an app (Edge).
- Confirm. The browser asks once. Press Install. A message says Installed. Open it from your desktop or home screen.
- Open it from its icon. Windows: Start menu or desktop. Android: home screen or app drawer. Mac: Applications or Launchpad.
- Answer the first-run setup. The first time the installed App opens, it asks what kind of business you run. See first-run setup.
iPhone and iPad
Safari has no Install button. Open app.niveshsahayak.in in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen › Add. The App then opens from its icon like an installed app.
Updating
The installed App updates itself: when a new version is published, it loads the next time you open it with internet. The icon may take a day to change after a new design.
Uninstalling
Windows: in the App window open the three-dot menu › Uninstall. Android: long-press the icon › Uninstall. Uninstalling removes the window and icon; to be safe, save a backup file first.
Common mistakes and how to fix them
- There is no Install app button. It is already installed (look for its icon), or the browser does not support installing (Firefox, some in-app browsers such as WhatsApp's). Open the address in Chrome or Edge.
- Installed from one browser, data typed in another. Chrome and Edge keep separate data. Install from the browser where your data already is, or move it with a backup file.
