Repeating bills for monthly customers
For rent, maintenance contracts, tuition or any fixed monthly bill, save the invoice once with "Repeat this bill". The App then lists the copies that are due, and makes them when you tap.
Step by step
- Save the first bill with Repeat this bill. In the invoice maker, under Notes and look, set Repeat this bill to Every month or Every quarter. Fill Repeat until only if it should stop on a date (leave it empty to keep repeating). Save.
- Open Repeating bills. The dashboard says how many are waiting; or open Repeating bills from the menu.
- Tick and make. Under Due to be made tick the copies you want and press Make these bills. Each one gets the next invoice number and the date shown.
- Stop when the contract ends. Under All repeating bills press Stop repeating.
Worked example
An AMC of ₹6,800 + GST 18% = ₹8,024 to Gill Builders, first billed 23 August. On 6 November the screen shows two copies due: 23 September and 23 October. Tick both and press Make these bills: INV/26-27/012 and 013 are made and both appear in Dues.
Common mistakes and how to fix them
- Expecting bills to appear by themselves. Nothing is made without your tap, so you can check each month.
- The rate changed. Make the copy, open it and edit the rate before sending; or stop repeating and save a new first bill.
